Safari to Les Grands Buffet in Narbonne

In September 2025, La Table des Amis de Provence offered “Safari to Les Grands Buffet in Narbonne” to members and friends.

Plan to arrive to the restaurant all dressed up to dine by 12h00 latest. There are several moderately priced hotels within walking distance of Les Grands Buffets which would most likely let you leave your luggage if an early checkin is not possible. We suggest you reserve early. It would be a long lunch followed no doubt by a siesta at your hotel. We would gather in the evening for a stroll in the old city and search out a cafe or brasserie with small plates to end the day. On Wednesday morning 24 September we would visit Les Halles in Narbonne, a spectacular indoor food emporium. Bring a cold bag to stock up on regional specialities like cassoulet. We are also arranging an optional lunch on your way home at the oyster restaurant le St Barth Tarboureich just north of Marseillan. Wine and other beverages are at very moderate producers prices.
