In April 2026, La Table des Amis de Provence offered “Cochon à la broche” to members and friends.
Cochon à la Broche Chez Tata Simone is a charming, family-run restaurant located just outside the village of Mouriès, in the heart of Provence. Known for its warm atmosphere and rustic Provençal décor, the restaurant is a favorite among locals and visitors seeking authentic regional cuisine. Mouriès itself is nestled in the Alpilles mountains and is renowned for its olive oil production, which often features in the dishes at Chez Tata Simone. The restaurant is celebrated for its friendly service and its commitment to showcasing the flavors of southern France. Lunch Menu: Cochon à la Broche “Cochon à la broche” translates to “pig on a spit” in English. This special lunch menu features a whole pig that is slow-roasted on a spit, resulting in tender, flavorful meat with a crispy, caramelized skin. The lunch includes generous portions of the roasted pork, accompanied by potatoes in a mushroom sauce. This communal meal is often served during special occasions or weekend gatherings, offering guests a festive and memorable dining experience that highlights local culinary traditions. We have reserved a table of friends, + or – 20 persons for noon on 26 April 2026.
