In May 2026, La Table des Amis de Provence offered “Safari to Potsdam and Berlin” to members and friends.
This week-long safari explored Potsdam and Berlin through their royal, wartime and Cold War histories as well as their contemporary food scenes. Based beside Lake Lehnitzsee at the former country villa of the Adlon family, the programme included Cecilienhof and the Neuer Garten, the Glienicke Bridge, Babelsberg, the palaces of Frederick the Great and an asparagus farm. Berlin days followed traces of the Wall and wartime bunkers, combined with lunch at the Reichstag, a boat trip through the city and restaurants ranging from Lebanese cooking to traditional Berlin and East German dishes.
Historical account reconstructed from La Table’s archived event materials.
