L'Egypte des Pharaons

In May 2024, La Table des Amis de Provence offered “L'Egypte des Pharaons” to members and friends.

Carrières des Lumières is located in the historic village of Les Baux-de-Provence. A former limestone quarry, the venue holds immersive digital exhibitions devoted to major artists using surround sound and light projections on the pure white walls, ceilings and floors. The works of artists like Van Gogh, Vermeer, Monet, Klimt etc. are presented in the words of one reviewer as “A sensory overload. It is as though you are immersed in the paintings which come to life around you”. This year’s exhibition featuring Egyptian pharaohs starts 19 April 2024 and runs to 5 January 2025.
