"Carpe Diem Evening" Tasting of vintage wines from Châteauneuf-du-Pape

In July 2022, La Table des Amis de Provence offered “"Carpe Diem Evening" Tasting of vintage wines from Châteauneuf-du-Pape” to members and friends.

Have you ever wondered what the vintage Chateauneuf-du-Pape red wines from the 1990’s taste like? Perhaps you are put off by the astronomical prices you would see on a wine list at a fine dining restaurant should you choose to go that direction. Thanks to the creativity of our friend Beatrice Mayard of a 6th generation wine making family in Chateauneuf-du-Pape, we are privileged to join her for a “Soirée Carpe Diem” on the terrace of her private home in this famous wine village. The tastings would include an apero and delicious small plates prepared by a well known caterer. We were there a few weeks ago for her debut and thought it was a fabulous evening not dampened in the least by the mistral (bring sweaters just in case).
