Mas de Bret is located near Saint Étienne- du-Grès on the north side of the Les Alpilles mountain chain. This valley had been a land of vines for centuries, but the vagaries of life had led to everything being uprooted.
Jean-Luc Placet and Frédéric Petitbon, owners of Mas de Bret, set out to recreate a vineyard on this extraordinary terroir.

They got it right from the start. By planting the new vineyard with cuttings from exceptional old vines, a viticultural term called “massal selection”, they ensured that the grapes would be of the best quality for vinification for years to come.
From the outset, Mas de Bret was overseen by Éloi Dürrbach, the legendary winemaker at Domaine de Trévallon, less than 6 kilometres from Mas de Bret.
We will taste their exceptional wines in all colors in their compact but top of the line cellar at the Mas de Bret.
Following the tasting, we will go a short distance to the village where we will enjoy the three course “menu Auberge” accompanied by the wines of Mas de Bret.
L'Auberge du-Grès opened last year by a migration of principals from the very popular restaurant “Edu” in Saint Rémy-de-Provence and has already established itself as THE restaurant of choice by the locals from Saint Étienne- du-Grès as well as neighboring villages.
The cost for this event is 59€ for members, 65€ for non-members, wine from Mas de Bret with the repast included.
Participation is limited to 18 persons.
This event has been organized by La Table des Amis de Provence, a non-profit association that connects wine and food lovers to a table of friends. Membership fees: 15 € single, 25 € couples
