An Evening with the acclaimed chef Reza Mahammad, from the former Star of India in Chelsea, London hosted in a 18th Century Maison de Maître in the medieval heart of Tarascon.
Reza Mahammad is a British Chef and TV personality. He has often been referred to as the Spice Prince. He was the owner of The Star Of India restaurant located in London's Old Brompton Road. Mahammad, a self taught chef, has appeared regularly on TV. He is widely remembered for his participation in the Channel 4 series A Place In France. He has also presented or co presented his own TV series and made guest appearances on shows such as ITV's This Morning. In addition to his TV work and being a restaurateur, Mahammad has written a number of cookbooks. He has been running his own catering business since 2000 and in 2011 also established a cookery school in France, called Chez Cartier, locates in the South West Department Charente.
Reza will be in Tarascon on 14 August and will prepare an amazing Indian dinner for up to 12 Table des Amis members (and their friends!).

Potato cakes filled with minced lamb and pine nuts flavoured with cumin and aromatic spices served with a yoghurt mint and walnut chutney.
Mains
Handi Murgh Hariyali
Chicken, cooked in an onion yoghurt and cream sauce with green chillies flavoured with aromatic spices and dried fenugreek leaves.
Channa Baingan
Aubergines and chickpeas cooked in a spiced tomato sauce with mint and coriander
Mughlai Saag Aloo
Spinach and potatoes cooked with onions and tomatoes flavoured with dill and dried fenugreek leaves tempered with garlic chilli butter
Peas Pillau
Fragrant basmati rice cooked with cumin and peas
Dessert
Saffron flavoured Semolina halva with pistachio nuts served with a yoghurt mascarpone cream with rosewater
